Who We Are
Twin Cities Youth Chorale is a vibrant, nonprofit auditioned choral organization for 7-14 year old boys and girls with unchanged voices from communities across the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area. We are comprised of two groups. Our elite chorus of the same name is for more mature and/or accomplished youth in 5th-8th grade and is under the artistic direction of Ann Wingert-Williams and Julie Bright. We also have a junior chorus, The Debut Choir, which is directed by Bob Hainlen. The Debut Choir is perfect for younger and/or less experienced youth in 2nd grade or higher. No prior choral experience is necessary to audition for either group, only a love of singing!
TCYC provides outstanding musical opportunities for young singers through workshops, collaborations, festivals, access to traditional and non-traditional concert locations, challenging repertoire, and solid music education principles. Members love our family-friendly schedule and the choral excellence promoted by our wonderful artistic directors who are all licensed music educators with many years of experience sharing their knowledge of and passion for the choral art with children.
What We Do
We inspire young singers to pursue excellence in choral music through education and performances in local and regional concert venues. Participants are welcome regardless of gender, race, or creed. The Twin Cities Youth Chorale is affordable and our schedule is family friendly. Tuition assistance may be available for families demonstrating financial need.
