About Us
Twin Cities Youth Chorale is a nonprofit auditioned choral group under the artistic direction of Julie Bright and Ann Wingert-Williams. Membership is open to area youth age 9 to14 entering 4th through 8th grades in September 2010. We already have members from 30 public, private, parochial and home schools across 17 communities!
Founded in 2008, the Chorale seeks to inspire children to pursue excellence in choral music. The chorale practices weekly during the school year, and performs in local and regional concert venues. Participants are welcome regardless of gender, race, or creed. The Twin Cities Youth Chorale is affordable and our schedule is family friendly. Tuition assistance may be available for families demonstrating financial need.
Chorale rehearsals are held each Tuesday during the school year, from 4:30 to 6:00 PM. Rehearsals are held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Brooklyn Park, MN. The church is located at the intersection of County Road 81 and Broadway Avenue, and is easily accessible from I-94. The 2010-2011 rehearsal and performance schedule is under development, and will be listed on the website in the near future.
Next season’s schedule includes major monthly performances beginning with Missa Choralis at the Basilica of Saint Mary in November. A number of family mixer events are also planned for members and parents to enjoy. All activities are family friendly and many are free. Filler
