Twin Cities Youth Chorale (TCYC) is a vibrant, nonprofit auditioned choral organization for boys and girls 2nd grade and older with unchanged voices. Singers hail from communities across the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area. TCYC is comprised of two groups, and a singer’s audition results determine their placement. The more experienced choir is named after the organization, and is called, the Twin Cities Youth Chorale, and it is under the direction of Ann Wingert-Williams. Membership in this choir may begin as early as 4th grade. The curriculum presented in this group is intended for more mature and/or accomplished singers. Our junior chorus, The TCYC Debut Choir, directed by Ann Bordonaro, presents a curriculum to singers that is geared towards training the developing chorister. No prior choral experience is necessary to audition for either group, only a love of singing!
Founded in 2008, TCYC provides outstanding musical opportunities for young singers through workshops, collaborations, festivals, access to traditional and non-traditional concert locations, challenging repertoire, and solid music education principles. Members love our family-friendly schedule and the choral excellence promoted by our highly skilled artistic directors who are all licensed music educators with many years of experience sharing their knowledge of and passion for the choral art with children.
Serving the communities of the Northwest suburbs of Minneapolis for a full decade.
